Kwankwaso Promises Security, Education and Jobs at Jos Town Hall

JOS — The vice-presidential candidate of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), Rabiu Kwankwaso, has said a government led by Peter Obi would give priority to security, education, agriculture and jobs.

Speaking at a town hall meeting in Jos, Plateau State, on Friday, Kwankwaso said Obi had called that day to say he could not travel, and promised that both of them would return to the state. He criticised what he described as the indifference of leaders to repeated killings in Plateau, cited his record in education as governor of Kano State, and urged voters to protect their votes.

Kwankwaso did not give specific job targets or say how the programmes would be funded.
