ABUJA — International assessors from the Extractive Industries Transparency Initiative have arrived in Nigeria for the country's 2026 validation, which will assess transparency in the oil, gas and mining sectors. NEITI said the assessors will consult government, lawmakers, companies, civil society and host communities. Nigeria scored 72 points, a moderate rating, in its last validation in 2023.
