ABUJA — Interior Minister Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo says Nigeria's land borders are not closed, responding to a pledge by ADC presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar to reopen them. He said the main crossings, including Seme, Idiroko and Illela, were reopened between 2020 and early 2026, and that some northern crossings remain under tight control for security reasons.
