AGBOR — The Nigerian Railway Corporation says a sudden wheel or bogie defect and the way the brakes were applied may have caused the derailment of a Warri–Itakpe train near Agbor, Delta State, on 8 June. Four people died and 64 were injured among the 482 people on board. The preliminary report found no evidence of vandalism. Services will not resume until a safety audit is completed.
