ABUJA — The Nigerian Safety Investigation Bureau says flight recorder data from a business jet that landed on a road near Asaba Airport on 10 June was largely overwritten because the crew flew the aircraft back to Lagos without air traffic clearance. Director-General Alex Badeh said only about two hours of poor-quality data were recovered. No one was hurt. The NCAA grounded the aircraft and suspended the operator's permit. Badeh also opposed a proposal to cut the bureau's share of the ticket sales charge.
