ABUJA — The United States Coast Guard has lifted a condition of entry that applied to vessels arriving from Nigerian ports since June 2014, Marine and Blue Economy Minister Adegboyega Oyetola announced. The decision followed four assessments between March 2024 and April 2026. Oyetola credited NIMASA and improved compliance with international port security rules. Maritime experts said it should lower freight and insurance costs.
