KANO — The Kano Free Trade Zone generated N36 billion in customs revenue between January and August 2026, up from over N24 billion in the whole of 2025, officials told Daily Trust reporters during a visit. The zone has 113 registered enterprises, 87 of them operating, and employs between 3,000 and 5,000 people directly. Officials said duty is now charged only on raw materials actually used in production.
