ABUJA — Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the ADC, says he will restore the petrol subsidy if he wins the 2027 election. In a Hausa-language interview, he said he did not initially oppose removing the subsidy but asked what had happened to the savings, and said anyone who diverted the money should return it. The Finance Ministry says subsidy savings have been shared between the federal, state and local governments.
