LONDON — The UK High Court has ruled that allegations that Shell's witnesses gave misleading evidence in a Niger Delta oil spill case will be examined before the main trial, which begins in May 2027. The case was brought by communities from the Ogale and Bille areas. Their lawyers, Leigh Day, said Shell's attempts to delay the claims have reached a dead end. Shell has denied responsibility for the spills.
