LAGOS — Most Nigerian taxpayers support the objectives of the new tax laws but remain cautious, according to a six-month review by PwC Nigeria and the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry. About 95 per cent of companies surveyed said they were aware of the reforms and 41 per cent reported a positive effect on cash flow. Among individuals, 38.8 per cent said their tax burden had not fallen much and 58.4 per cent want more taxpayer education. Businesses still complain about multiple levies from different tiers of government.
