LAGOS — Wema Bank reported profit before tax of N154.5 billion for the first half of 2026, up 53.65 per cent from N100.6 billion a year earlier. Profit after tax rose to N131.3 billion from N87.5 billion. Interest income grew 43 per cent to N342.64 billion. The bank's half-year profit is already about two-thirds of its full-year 2025 profit.
