ABUJA — Nigerian government bonds have been included in JP Morgan's new GBI-EM Edge index for frontier markets, 11 years after Nigeria was removed from the bank's emerging markets bond index in 2015. Nigeria has a weight of 7.40 per cent, with 16 bonds worth $17.47 billion eligible. Finance Minister Taiwo Oyedele described the inclusion as an independent endorsement of the reforms, and the ministry said it expects more foreign inflows and lower borrowing costs.
