LAGOS — The United States Coast Guard has lifted a condition of entry that had applied for 12 years to vessels arriving from Nigerian ports. Shipping companies including Maersk, ONE, PIL and MSC welcomed the decision. An MSC representative said the restriction had forced shipments to the US to pass through other ports, while ONE's Nigeria director credited the work of the Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency.
