LAGOS — Auto spare parts traders at the Lagos International Trade Fair Complex say Chinese wholesalers are selling directly to consumers at wholesale prices, Premium Times found during a visit to the market after a protest by the traders' association. The association's president, Ngozi Emechebe, distanced the group from placards calling for the Chinese to leave, and police are investigating. Chinese traders declined to comment. Felicia Awolope of Meristem Securities said no law prevents direct selling to consumers and urged mediation.
