ABUJA — The Nigerian Midstream and Downstream Petroleum Regulatory Authority has approved about 830,000 tonnes of petrol imports for the fourth quarter of 2026. The permits went to Matrix, A.A. Rano, AYM Shafa, NIPCO, Pinnacle Oil and Bono Energy. Authority spokesman George Ene-Ita confirmed the approvals and said the Dangote refinery's lawsuit against import licences is still in court.
