ABUJA — Nigeria's power plants generated an average of 4,102 megawatts in August, about 86 per cent of the 4,758MW available, according to the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission. Grid frequency and voltage at times moved outside the approved ranges. Sapele, Alaoji, Geregu and Ibom Power units generated nothing during the month, while Kainji, Afam, Egbin and Olorunsogo units ran at close to full availability.
