ABUJA — The Federal Government has reopened talks with Energy China on phased delivery of the 3,050-megawatt Mambilla hydropower project, Power Minister Joseph Tegbe said at a briefing on his first 100 days in office. The talks follow Nigeria's victory in a $2.3 billion arbitration claim by Sunrise Power. Tegbe said power generation has exceeded 5,000MW, peaking at 5,330MW, that N1.23 trillion has been raised towards the sector's N3.3 trillion debt, and that more than one million meters had been installed as of August.
