ABUJA — Airport taxi operators say more than 300 jobs are at risk because of a Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria deadline to replace cabs built before 2012 by October 2026 and to cut fleets to 30 cars per company. Operators' chairman Prince Amosola said a 2012 car now costs between N15 million and N18 million, and an electric vehicle about N38 million. FAAN says the rule was announced in July 2024 and the deadline has already been extended twice.
