LAGOS — Energy Ventures B.V. has received federal government support to convert flared gas into electricity for about 80,000 homes and businesses in the Niger Delta. The company already runs a pilot at the Agbada oil field using gas conversion units from a Dutch firm and smart meters. Chief Executive Herbert Okibe said the model could be used at more than 100 other flare sites.
