LAGOS — The Nigerian Economic Summit Group says insecurity is raising Nigeria's risk profile and financing costs and reducing capital inflows. In a statement ahead of the 32nd Nigerian Economic Summit, the group said banditry, terrorism and farmer-herder conflicts have displaced farming households in the North-West, North-Central and North-East, worsening food insecurity. It said crude oil theft has at times cost the country hundreds of thousands of barrels per day, and called for better monitoring and the inclusion of Niger Delta communities in protecting oil infrastructure.
