LAGOS — The Managing Director of the Nigerian Ports Authority, Abubakar Dantsoho, has met operators of the Dala and Funtua inland dry ports after the Minister of Marine and Blue Economy transferred oversight of the facilities to the authority. He said dry ports need equipment that matches the digital systems used at seaports, and called for private investment. Former Shippers' Council head Hassan Bello, who spoke for the operators, cited poor rail connections as a major problem.
