OSOGBO — Work has started on a new National Control Centre for the Nigerian Independent System Operator in Osogbo, Osun State, to replace a facility that is 64 years old. Power Minister Joseph Tegbe said the centre will bring integrated digital monitoring and analytics to the national grid, but added that fewer outages also depend on gas supply and on transmission and distribution networks. Vice President Kashim Shettima attended the ground-breaking.
