LAGOS — The Federal Operations Unit Zone A of the Nigeria Customs Service recovered N3.19 billion in revenue between December 2025 and September 2026, nearly eight times its N400 million target, outgoing Comptroller Gambo Aliyu said. The unit made 779 seizures with a duty-paid value of N13.08 billion, including more than 20,900 bags of rice, 61 used vehicles, 4,418 jerrycans of vegetable oil, 6,194 kg of cannabis and 22 elephant tusks. Deputy Comptroller Oladapo Afeni has taken over as acting comptroller.
