DAMATURU — The Yobe State Government has proposed that 5 per cent of its 2027 budget go to social protection for households affected by insurgency and displacement. Secretary to the State Government Muhammad Goje said at the start of budget talks with ministries that every allocation must be linked to defined activities and beneficiaries, and that completing ongoing projects comes first. Budget Commissioner Muhammad Garba Gagiyo said revenue projections will be conservative and the overall budget smaller.
