LAGOS — Heirs Energies has bought 6 million Seplat Energy shares at £8.87 each, about £53.2 million, according to a regulatory filing. The purchase raises Heirs Energies' direct holding to 4.67 per cent. Together, entities controlled by Tony Elumelu now hold 126.4 million shares, a voting interest of 21.07 per cent. Last year Heirs acquired Maurel & Prom's 20.07 per cent stake in Seplat for about $500 million. Elumelu is a non-executive director of Seplat.
