ABUJA — Nigeria's 36 states received N4.83 trillion from the Federation Account Allocation Committee between January and June 2026, according to an analysis of FAAC data by Daily Trust. Delta received the most with N369.87 billion, followed by Lagos with N368.79 billion, Rivers with N331.73 billion, Akwa Ibom with N300.73 billion and Bayelsa with N289.19 billion. Kano led the states without oil with N158.49 billion. Cross River received the least at N75.87 billion, followed by Ekiti and Gombe. Public policy analyst Adeyemi Kayode urged citizens to ask how the money is spent ahead of the 2027 elections.
