CALABAR — The sixth conference of the African Sub-Sovereign Governments Network (AfSNET) will take place from 12 to 14 November 2026 at the Calabar International Convention Centre, hosted by Cross River State with Afreximbank and the Nigeria Governors' Forum. Afreximbank says the network has facilitated more than $3.2 billion in deals since 2021. Governor Bassey Otu and Afreximbank Executive Vice President Kanayo Awani spoke at a preparatory event. Separately, the state's PPP bureau said a company, ValueFronteira, has committed more than $20 million over five years to a 4,000-hectare oil palm plantation in Yala Local Government Area.
