LAGOS — Africa Finance Corporation has appointed Central Bank Governor Olayemi Cardoso as chairman of its board, succeeding Ireti Samuel-Ogbu, who remains a director. AFC President Samaila Zubairu said Cardoso's experience will help the corporation pursue its long-term infrastructure agenda. Cardoso said the corporation's success should be measured by the industries and jobs it helps create. He has been CBN governor since September 2023 and previously chaired Citibank Nigeria.
