ABUJA — The Development Bank of Nigeria and LoftyInc Allied Partners are giving grants of up to N1 million each to 24 sanitation businesses, four from each geopolitical zone. The grants were announced at the end of a programme to turn sanitation enterprises into businesses that can borrow. LoftyInc's Femi Oluwagbemi said more than 1,000 firms applied and over 30 were matched with lenders. A DBN official said more than 11 financial institutions have created loan products for the sanitation sector.
