LAGOS — Wayve Microfinance Bank, which runs the WayvePay platform, says no investor subscribed to the Dangote Petroleum Refinery IPO through it. The statement followed a warning by the Securities and Exchange Commission that WayvePay is not registered to solicit investments from the public. The bank said it has removed its promotional materials and the IPO link from its app, and that it took part through a partnership with Coronation Securities, which received any subscription funds. It said it is licensed by the CBN, that eligible deposits are insured by the NDIC, and that it will cooperate with the SEC.
