NAPE Conference to Focus on Raising Nigeria's Oil Output

LAGOS — The Nigerian Association of Petroleum Explorationists (NAPE) will hold its 44th Annual International Conference and Exhibition in Lagos from 8 to 12 November 2026, with a focus on finding and producing more oil through exploration, local capacity and new technology.

The Minister of State for Petroleum Resources (Oil), Senator Heineken Lokpobiri, regulators, and international and indigenous oil companies are expected to attend.

Announcing the event at a press conference in Lagos, NAPE President Olajumoke Ajayi said it comes at a critical time for growing reserves and production, energy security and investment. She said turning Nigeria's potential into proven reserves requires exploration beyond existing discoveries, the right technology and a business environment that keeps investors.
