PORT HARCOURT — A Federal High Court in Port Harcourt has fixed November 4, 2026, for hearing in a suit challenging the nomination of Rep. Kingsley Chinda as the All Progressives Congress governorship candidate in Rivers State. The plaintiff argues that Chinda's defection from the PDP was not complete when the APC held its screening and primary, as his defection letter was read on the floor of the House only in June.
