ABUJA — The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has redeployed key directors, Daily Trust has confirmed. The Director of Electoral Operations, Isah Magaji Gummi, has moved to the Voter Registry Department, while a former Administrative Secretary in Lagos reportedly now heads Electoral Operations. A senior INEC official described the postings as routine. Paul Ibe, spokesman for Atiku Abubakar, alleged a concentration of officials from one region and asked INEC to explain its compliance with federal character. INEC's publicity officials did not respond.
