ABUJA — The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and the ECOWAS Network of Electoral Commissions (ECONEC) are working to implement guidelines on the use of artificial intelligence in elections. ECONEC's Permanent Secretary, Serigne Mamadou Ka, led a delegation to INEC Chairman Prof. Joash Amupitan in Abuja, saying AI is here to stay. Amupitan listed technology, results management, voter education and security as areas for cooperation.
