ABUJA — The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) says governorship candidates left off its October 10 list will remain excluded. They include Prof. Isa Pantami (PDP, Gombe), Ladi Adebutu (PDP, Ogun), Aminu Abdussalam Gwarzo (NDC, Kano) and Danjuma Laah (NDC, Kaduna), as well as several candidates in Bauchi. INEC said their parties failed to submit membership registers within the legal window, a requirement upheld by the Supreme Court on September 24. Parties have until October 24 to notify INEC of any issues.
