ABUJA — The founder of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), Dr Boniface Aniebonam, says the party will soon adopt a presidential candidate from another party for the 2027 election. He cited prolonged litigation over the party's leadership and said the NNPP has been using a placeholder candidate. Aniebonam said the party made a mistake with Rabiu Kwankwaso in 2023, and plans to field its own presidential candidate by 2031.
