ABUJA — The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has inaugurated an Electoral Logistics Committee to coordinate the distribution of materials for the 2027 general elections. The committee is chaired by National Commissioner Rear Admiral Jamila Abubakar-Sadiq (retd), who said no eligible voter should be disenfranchised because materials arrived late. It will take a multi-agency approach covering road, air and maritime transport, and map difficult and insecure areas. Representatives of the Chief of Defence Staff and service chiefs attended.
