ILARO — About 5,000 members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), mainly from Ogun West, have defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC). They were received in Ilaro by Governor Dapo Abiodun, APC Ogun West senatorial candidate Senator Solomon Adeola and state chairman Yemi Sanusi. The defection was led by former Ogun PDP chairman Sikirullahi Ogundele, who described the PDP in the state as an empty shell.
