ABUJA — Former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Babachir Lawal, has joined the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC) and backed the Obi-Kwankwaso ticket. NDC National Leader Senator Seriake Dickson received him and placed him in charge of the party's campaign in the North-East. Lawal left the ADC about three months ago, alleging its presidential primary was rigged. However, the NDC's six governorship candidates in the North-East rejected his appointment in a joint statement, citing a lack of consultation.
