KANO — The Kano State chapter of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has affirmed Muhammad Sani Abacha as its governorship candidate, following the withdrawal of the primary winner, Muhammad Bello Dalha. State chairman Dr Bello Gambo Bichi said a replacement primary was legally required and was witnessed by INEC. Under a reconciliation deal between the party's factions, the deputy governorship slot went to former commissioner Yusuf Ado Kibiya.
