MAKURDI — Political parties and candidates in Benue State have signed a peace accord for violence-free campaigns ahead of the 2027 elections. The accord was signed at a stakeholders' meeting organised by the Benue Police Command in Makurdi. The Commissioner of Police, Cletus Nwadiogbu, warned parties against using thugs and cultists, and urged them to coordinate rallies with security agencies.
