KADUNA — Security operatives fired tear gas at supporters of African Democratic Congress (ADC) governorship candidate Isa Ashiru during a rally in Kaduna. Ashiru, through his spokesman, accused state security personnel of harassment and said two women were injured. Police spokesman DSP Mansir Hassan said the group tried to force its way into Murtala Square and later blocked the road, and that officers used minimal and proportionate force. Ashiru has called for an impartial investigation.
