BIRNIN KEBBI — Kebbi State Governor Nasir Idris has dissolved the governing board of the Kebbi State Independent Electoral Commission (KEBSIEC) following the expiry of its tenure. The decision takes effect from September 18, 2026. Two members whose tenure has not expired will remain until the commission is reconstituted, and the governor pledged to protect its independence.
