SOKOTO — The African Democratic Congress (ADC) governorship candidate in Sokoto State, Manir Muhammad Dan'Iya, has appointed Alhaji Muhammad Bello Goronyo as Director-General of his campaign. The appointment came hours after a letter circulated announcing Goronyo's resignation as Sokoto PDP chairman. However, the current PDP chairman, Hayatu Tafida, said Goronyo had already been removed and had left the party about nine months ago.
