YENAGOA — The Bayelsa State House of Assembly has removed the chairman of Sagbama Local Government Area, Alice Allen Tangi, and her deputy over alleged gross misconduct. Tangi was the state's only Peoples Democratic Party council chairman and stayed in the PDP when Governor Douye Diri moved to the APC. Seventeen of the 20 members present voted for her removal. A High Court had ordered that the status quo be maintained the previous week.
