ABUJA — The Allied Peoples Movement (APM) has called on the UN, EU, AU, Commonwealth, United States and United Kingdom to impose visa bans and asset freezes on officials it accuses of undermining democracy in Nigeria. In a statement by its National Publicity Secretary, Abubakar Yusuf, the party cited a Human Rights Foundation index that now labels Nigeria authoritarian. It accused INEC of interfering in opposition parties' affairs, described the National Assembly as a rubber stamp, and alleged that opposition parties are denied venues and media access in APC-run states.
