OSOGBO — Osun State Governor Ademola Adeleke has appealed to President Bola Tinubu to intervene, alleging that his supporters were being killed and that the police had been compromised ahead of the August 15 governorship election. Speaking at a campaign rally in Olorunda Local Government Area, Adeleke said he and the Accord Party had already endorsed Tinubu for 2027 and questioned why state funds were being withheld. His campaign organisation also petitioned the National Human Rights Commission over alleged police intimidation. Campaign spokesman Pelumi Olajengbesi said 26 detained supporters had been released, and demanded that remaining detainees be charged or freed.
