KADUNA — Centre managers of the National Teachers' Institute (NTI) have begun a one-month warning strike from October 12 to November 12 over honoraria they say have not been paid since 2020. The National Centre Managers' Forum, chaired by Tam Frank, said the arrears cover both semesters from 2020 to 2025 and the first semester of 2026. The strike affects the institute's teacher training, NCE, degree and postgraduate diploma programmes, with project supervision and teaching practice suspended. The forum threatened an indefinite strike if its demands are not met. The institute's Director-General had not responded at the time of reporting.
