LAGOS — The Dangote Group has allocated N366 million in shares to internally displaced persons and returnees in Borno State, while the Dangote Foundation has pledged scholarships for 4,000 girls over six years. The commitments were made at a two-day Borno Durable Solutions private-sector roundtable in Lagos, according to Dauda Iliya, Special Adviser on Media to the Borno State Governor. More than 20 private-sector leaders attended, along with UNHCR, IOM and UNDP, and nine organisations signed letters of commitment. The Borno State Government promised to provide land within two weeks and tax waivers to investors.
