SOKOTO — The Sokoto State Government has denied reports that 18 students of Gamji College of Health Technology were abducted on their way to Oyo State. In a statement, the Director-General of Media and Publicity at Government House, Abubakar Bawa, said the only person abducted was a former student of the Gamji College of Nursing Sciences who graduated as a midwife in September 2026. She was kidnapped with other passengers in Niger State on October 1 while travelling home. The government urged the media to verify reports before publishing them.
